About the MHS Library Media Center

The Morrilton High School Library Media Center serves approximately 700 students in grades 9-12.  There are a variety of services the media center offers its patrons.  These services include over 9,000 volumes housed in the collection of fiction, non-fiction, and reference materials.  There are 25 student computers, along with eight iMac computers, used for OPAC, research, and multimedia projects.  A networked printer is available for the students when printing is necessary.  An iPad 2 mobile lab is available for teachers to check out for student use to enhance classroom instruction.  We also have two Kindle carts available for teachers check out.

We now have Kindles available for checkout. Currently, there are approximately 55 titles on each Kindle. Ask Mrs. Grendell or Mrs. Parks about those titles. If there is a title you want to suggest to be added to the Kindles, please write your suggestion on the request form located at the circulation desk. Students must have a signed contract on file before checking out a Kindle. The checkout period for Kindles is 2 weeks.

Also available for student checkout are Texas Instruments 84+CE color graphing calculators. A signed contract must be on file before a TI 84+CE calculator can be checked out. The checkout period is 1 week for calculators.

English teachers bring their students to the media center bi-weekly to exchange their library books, conduct research, and/or work on projects.  Teachers of other disciplines also schedule time in the media center for their students.

The media center is open daily with a flexible schedule.
