The mission of the Morrilton High School Library Media Center is to support the curriculum of Morrilton High School by providing access to current, adequate, and appropriate information and to enhance student achievement by ensuring that all students, teachers, and staff are effective users of ideas and information and by encouraging a lifelong interest in reading.
The Morrilton High School Library Media Center provides traditional and technological services to students and staff. These services include almost 9,000 volumes housed in the collection of fiction, non-fiction, and reference materials, three computers for access to the online card catalog and for student use, Kindles with a limited number of titles, makerspace stations, Take-and-Make kits, TI 84+CE calculators, a networked printer, and two Kindle carts available for teachers to check out for in-class use.
All teachers may bring their students to the library to exchange their library books, conduct research, and/or work on projects.
Laminating services and some instructional supplies are also available to teachers
General Rules:
Books and Kindles may be checked out for 2 weeks.
Take-and-Make Kits and calculators may be checked out for 1 week.
The library is open daily with a flexible schedule. Items must be properly checked in and out at the circulation desk.
Overdue fines are $.05 per day per item.
A signed contract must be on file before a TI 84+CE calculator can be checked out.
Students are responsible for any damaged or lost items from the Library Media Center.
