Announcements for April 19, 2024

       For lunch today: Pulled BBQ pork, bread slice, tossed salad, baked beans, fruit and juice. Additional option is pizza.

       For breakfast Monday: Sausage biscuit, fresh fruit and juice/milk.

       Prom tickets are on sale during the first and second lunch. Last day to buy prom tickets is Tuesday April 23rd.

       Ticket price includes a meal.  Chicken and steak with sides and dessert. As well as Admission to the dance.

       Prom Guest pass is now available in the office and is due back April 25. The guest pass must be approved by administration before tickets are bought.

       April is School Library Month and National Poetry Month. Come to the library for some library- and poetry-related activities like Mad-Lib Poetry, library crossword puzzle, Book in a Jar, and much more. Stop by the library to see if you can guess the Book in a Jar for your chance to win a prize.

       Design your own bookmark for your chance to win a prize. Come to the library for an entry from. All bookmarks are due by April 26.

       Seniors, be sure that your cap and gown is ordered to be here in time for graduation. Come talk to Mrs. Huett if you haven’t ordered.

       Congratulations to Lakeyn Billing, our thespian of the week.  Lakeyn is a talented artist who uses her gifts to create beautiful designs for our plays.  Don't miss Lakeyn's wonderful set design in our production of "Clue on Stage" April 25, 26 and 27th in the auditorium.  Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students.

       Volleyball tryouts are April 30, May 2, 7, 9, 14, 16 at 3:45-5:00 in MHS safe room. Open to girls in current 8th-11th grades. Contact Coach Lawless for more information. 

       Congratulations to the High School Quiz Bowl team for placing 3rd in the 5A State Tournament on Saturday. Additional congratulations to Wesley Sardin who was designated as an All-Tournament player.

       The Student Government Association (SGA) is designed to foster leadership skills, encourage school spirit, and teach democratic principles among students. If you are interested in running for a student council position, stop by the front office or Mrs. Wages’ room before or after school or during either lunch to pick up your application today! All 2024-2025 Student Council election applications are due to Mrs. Wages by 3:45 pm on April 19th.
