Here is how you can make the most of Day 5: ❄️Catch Up & Get Ahead: Use today to read, catch up on missing assignments, or start on next week's projects. Check your Canvas for any specific updates from your teachers. ❄️The 15-Minute Read: Whether it’s a novel, a graphic novel, or an interesting article, spend at least 15 minutes reading today. Use the hashtag #DevilDogsRead to share what you're diving into. ❄️Winter Science: Feeling curious? Try a quick experiment like measuring how much water is actually in a cup of snow once it melts, or catch a snowflake on dark paper to study its geometry. ❄️Get Creative: Work on a winter-themed poem, sketch the view from your window. ❄️Safety First: If you head outside, bundle up and look out for your neighbors. After continued assessment of road conditions across our district, we have determined that roads outside the city of Morrilton remain packed with ice. While some melting is expected this afternoon, it will not be sufficient to safely improve conditions, particularly on secondary roads and bus routes.

As a result, the South Conway County School District will not have school tomorrow, Thursday, January 29.

This decision is made with one priority in mind: maximizing the safety of our scholars, families, and staff. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to navigate these winter weather conditions.

🚨 School Closure Announcement – Monday, January 26 🚨

Due to hazardous road conditions, South Conway County School District will be closed on Monday, January 26.

The safety of our scholars, families, and staff is our top priority. After assessing current road conditions, we believe this is the best decision to help ensure everyone remains safe.

Please continue to use caution, stay safe, and take care of one another. Any additional updates will be shared through the District App, district social media, and local media outlets.

The South Conway County School District is closely monitoring the potential for winter weather forecasted for later this week across Central Arkansas. The timing has not yet been determined, but it could affect our learning day on Friday, January 23rd.

Our leadership team will continue to track weather forecasts and timing and will make any decisions with one priority in mind: maximizing the safety of our students, families, and staff.

If weather conditions require any changes to our normal schedule, announcements will be communicated promptly through:
